What is meditation?

Meditation is simply a mental practice where the focus is to calm the mind and get into a state of complete relaxation.

It can help heal the body, the mind, and the soul. It can also help you surmount anxiety, stress, depression, to forgive, to get rid of anger, for grieving, for illness, to send loving kindness to other people.

Some of the things you need to effectively practise meditation:

  • a quiet place
  • a relaxed and comfortable posture
  • a focus, an image, a word or an object
  • an open and receptive attitude and mind.

What is yoga?

Yoga is a type of exercise in which you move your body into various positions in order to become more fit or flexible, to improve your breathing, and to relax your mind.

The fundamental purpose of yoga is to foster harmony in the body, mind, and environment. Yoga professes a complete system of physical, mental, social, and spiritual development.


Our Meditation classes run fortnightly on Friday nights at our venue at 72 Agincourt Road, Marsfield.

They last one hour and students are welcome to stay for a cuppa and chat afterwards.


Our Yoga classes run every Friday during school term.

Kids 5 – 10yo: 5 –5.30pm

Kids 11yo and above, Adults: 6.30 – 7.15pm
