Kids and Teens – Bedtime affirmations

Consider integrating bedtime affirmations, mantras, or a positive prayer and blessing each night as you tuck your children in, whether they are young ones or older teens. This simple practice can significantly boost their confidence, improve sleep quality, enhance their sense of self-worth, raise self-esteem, and reduce anxiety.

For instance, after saying “goodnight,” you could add a heartfelt affirmation or blessing aloud. For my son, beyond expressing my love and receiving his response, I often say, “May God bless you and keep you safe through the night.” Sometimes, especially if he’s had a challenging day, I’ll lie down beside him and share one of these affirmations:

“Just before drifting off to sleep is an ideal time to engage in meaningful conversation or share positive thoughts.”

  1. I love you
  2. You are enough
  3. You are special
  4. We love you no matter what
  5. We love you even when we are upset with you
  6. You can always share your day or ask anything, I am listening
  7. Do you want to talk about your day?
  8. Do you want to share something before you go to sleep?
  9. You are very kind.
  10. You spread love.
  11. There are no expectations to be perfect.
  12. You can be anything you want.
  13. Follow your dreams.
  14. You can do this.
  15. You’ve got this.
